Sick of the same boring side braid you always wear? Mix things up with these gorgeous braided hairstyles that are so much easier than they look! So don’t be intimidated, make sure to watch the videos and see just how easy they can be to pull off. In fact, you can do any of them in under 10 minutes with a little practice.
1-3. Back to School Braided Hairstyles
If you don’t already, make sure to follow Missy Sue on Instagram and subscribe to her YouTube channel. She does such gorgeous braided hairstyles and easy to follow video tutorials. The video tutorial above featuring 3 easy braided hairstyles that are perfect for back to school is one of my favorites. (via Missy Sue)
4. 2-Minute Rope Braid Tutorial
First of all, I love watching her hair tutorials because she has the most beautiful red hair I’ve ever seen. Now, this 2-minute rope braid is an absolute must to add to your hairstyle routine. Taking just 2 minutes, it is a perfect hairstyle for when you are running late! No one will believe how easy it is to do. (via The Freckled Fox)
5. Double Boho Braided Hairstyle
While this braided hairstyle may look complicated, you will be shocked when you take a look at the photo tutorial. It can be broken down into 3 easy components and then put together for this intricate look. (via Kassinka)
6. Half Up Faux Hawk Tutorial
For a bit edgier look, try this amazing half-up faux hawk braided hairstyle. I have fallen in love with the faux hawk braid thanks to Erica Jayne (any other RHOBH fans?). This would be a perfect look for a night out. (via Twist Me Pretty)
7. Cross-My-Heart Braid Tutorial
I love how this braided hairstyle takes a very simple, classic 3-strand braid and transforms it into this luxe look by just adding a couple steps. With the subtle heart outline it creates, this look would be perfect for Valentine’s Day or a special date night. (via Barefoot Blonde)
8. Looped French Braid
Speaking of upgrading classic braided hairstyles, this amazing look takes a simple french braid and turns it into this high-fashion masterpiece. All it takes is her simply pulling out small pieces of hair and integrating them back in as she goes. You have to see it to believe it.
9. Half-Up Triple Boho Braided Hairstyle
Everything about Kassinka reminds me of Khaleesi from Game of Thrones: the exotic “K” name, the long, blond hair, and the unique braided hairstyles. She could definitely be her hair double. Again, this braided hairstyle only looks complicated. In fact, it is as easy as pulling together 3 separate braids and “pancaking” them (a term that I learned from watching these tutorials) to create the boho relaxed look. This would be the perfect look for a music festival. (via Kassinka)
10. Dutch Braids & Messy Bun
Spice up your classic messy bun look by adding Dutch braids for this polished look that is so easy & quick to do that you can wear any day of the week. (via Missy Sue)
11-20. Easy Braided Hairstyles for Short Hair
Now you may have been watching some of these tutorials and thinking, “My hair is just not long enough to pull that off.” Not to worry, check out these 10 easy braided hairstyles for short hair that you will love. 21. Braided Space Buns Tutorial
I love this braided space bun look. It is fierce and feminine and will make you feel unstoppable. In fact, I was just watching Nashville this look and Juliette was rocking this look.
22. Pull-Through Braid
The pull-through braid is the perfect example of a hairstyle that looks super glam and complicated, but, in reality, it couldn’t be easier. If you watch only one of these videos, make sure this is it. I also love how she is honest about using hair extensions. Most hair bloggers do, so don’t feel intimidated by how long and thick their hair is. But, you don’t need to use extensions for a great looking pull-through braided hairstyle.
I didn’t forget about my short hair girls – here’s how you can create this look with short hair:
