Holiday shopping can be so overwhelming. During Black Friday and Cyber Monday, you are bombarded with hundreds of deals and fear you are going to miss out on something great. So, you may buy impulsively and regret some of your purchases or get so overloaded with information that you just want to avoid it all together. I’ve been there. That is why I am SO excited to share my solution to big holiday shopping savings that is so easy and effective you will not believe it!

I followed these steps for items on my holiday shopping list and qualified for over $350 savings! The best part, you can do it sitting on your couch in less than an hour! No lines. No stampeding crowds. No stress.
In fact, why limit your savings to the holidays? You can use these methods to save year round!
Here’s how I was able to save over $350 in just 3 steps:
Read through the steps below and watch the video demo below to see them in action:
Step 1: Make a wishlist ahead of time using Shoptagr
If you’re like me, you feel like you are always thinking of gift ideas for others or for yourself throughout the year, but then when the holidays roll around, your mind goes blank. Shoptagr solves that! All you have to do is set up a Shoptagr list for all the gift ideas you have for yourself and others.
It is so easy! You can do it throughout the year or before the holiday season craziness. You can do it while you do your regular online window shopping at night on the couch or at the gym.
You can name your Shoptagr list “Gift Ideas” for gifts for others and “Wishlist” for gifts for yourself. Then, as you do your regular online browsing or when your husband mentions something he really loves, simply add it to your Shoptagr list with the click of a button (demo video above).
Add the items from your friends’ and family’s wishlist. Add the items you have been lusting after for months. Add any item that if it were to go on sale, you would want to snatch it up!
Step 2: Save!
Now, when holiday savings events like Black Friday or Cyber Monday roll around, skip the stress, skip the lines, skip the ads, BUT still save big!
All you have to do is scroll through the list of items you have already created and buy any items you want that went on sale!
I was amazed by the number of items I had already planned on buying that went on sale: a yoga mat, a Fire Stick, Amazon Echo Dot, an Instant Pot, wireless headphones, ankle boots, a jacket, a dress…the list goes on and on.
I was able to knock out a huge chunk of my holiday shopping and save over $350! Win-win!
You will not believe how easy it is and how much you will save just implementing these easy steps.
Step 3: Save more!
I’ll admit, these savings are so great that it would be easy to stop there, but no! We are going to save EVEN MORE! Before you buy, make sure you have signed up for Ebates (for free) using my referral link and get a welcome bonus! Then, install the Ebates Chrome extension to make getting additional savings 10x easier!
Now, when you click on the item from your Shoptagr list, you will be brought to the retailer’s site (e.g. Nordstrom – see above). Without doing anything, the Ebates extension will pop-up and say something like “Activate 6% cash back.” All you have to do is click the pink button where is says that and it will automatically apply the savings when you check out to your Ebates account! How easy is that?
Honestly, I think Ebates is the absolute easiest way to save on purchases you are already making and it blows my mind that people don’t use it more! Sign up today for free. You will not regret it. When I first started using it, I was kicking myself that I had been missing out on hundreds and hundreds of dollars of savings from items I was buying anyway!
Let’s take a look at the numbers: the average Ebates cash back percentage is 4-12%. The average American plans to spend nearly $1000 during holiday shopping alone. That means you may be missing out on $120 savings or more. All you have to do to get these savings is sign up and install the extension. Then, it’s as easy as clicking a button when you are shopping!
Other helpful tools:
Track your purchases and price drops with Slice
If you are an online shopaholic like me, during the holidays it can be tough to keep straight when what is supposed to be arriving where. You don’t want to realize on Christmas Eve that one of your packages didn’t arrive or find out that something you bought went on sale the day after you bought it!
To give myself peace of mind on all my purchases, I use Slice. It lets me track my shipments, notifies me of any price drops so I can get refunds, and much more!
Save on gift cards with Raise
According to the NRF, about 56% of Americans plan to buy gift cards this holiday season. Save money when doing so buy using Raise. Raise lets you buy physical or electronic gift cards for a fraction of the cost. You can also use raise to get extra savings on your holiday shopping! For instance, if you are going to buy a $100 gift from Pottery Barn for your mom, you can buy a discounted $100 from Raise and save!
Hope these steps help you save big this holiday season on purchases you would already be making. Use your savings on a fun seasonal outing with your family or an extra special gift for a loved one. The holidays just got a little big richer 🙂
