Organizing our garage is one of the top things on my to do list, so I have been avidly searching garage organization ideas & storage hacks on Pinterest. So, I wanted to share with y’all some of my favorites! Honestly, just brainstorming the new setup and organization ideas for the garage has got me instantly more motivated to get this project done!

1. Peg Rail to Neatly Hang Cleaning Supplies
Am I the only weirdo who finds these hanging cleaning supplies absolutely adorable? I love that it is super functional too in that it is just right outside the garage door and easily reached from the house. It’s amazing how just hanging up these supplies on a simple pegboard looks instantly cleaner and more organized. (via Julie Blanner)
2. DIY Garage Mudroom
Oftentimes the garage doubles as one of the main entrances to your home if you typically park your car in there. So, it is also the first impression to your guests. If you haven’t yet read our uber popular Ikea Hacks post, you may not know just how much I loooove a good Ikea hack. So, I couldn’t resist including one in our garage organization ideas post! 8. Use painter’s tape to make parking spots for kids’ toys.
Not only is this just plain adorable, but it makes cleaning up into a fun game so your kids will actually do it! You could even start giving out parking tickets if they don’t comply with the garage laws 😉 (via Org Junkie)
9. DIY Cordless Drill Storage and Charging Station
I want my husband to make us one of these so badly! It’s perfect how it has the shelf for the battery chargers and then the hanging storage for the drills. It will be a huge step in making our workshop area look way more organized! (via Ideas 2 Live 4)
10. Spray Paint Storage Using Window Box Planters & More!
I had never seen this genius idea of using plastic window box planters and hanging them on the wall using command hooks. It makes the perfect storage for a variety of garage items but I love the idea for storing spray paints. You can even also hang all your car washing supplies in a big bucket using the same method. I actually found  a wooden window box on Amazon that’s very cute if you are going for a more rustic, farmhouse look. (via Polished Habitat)
11. Colorful Garage Storage Solution for Kids’ Toys
I adore these colorful stackable bins that she has labeled for all the kids toys. It is totally worth checking our the full post to see exactly how she set it up. While these colorful bins are from the Container Store, I am guessing you can find something similar at the Dollar Store (where the matching hamper basket is from) or Amazon. 12. DIY Storage Shelves for Under $75
We are definitely in need of some budget-friendly shelves for our garage organization makeover and these DIY storage shelves for under $75 certainly fit the bill! Prefer to buy instead of DIY? Try these sturdy metal shelves for under $50 each. (via The Handyman’s Daughter)
13. Pool Noodle Fishing Rod Storage
Keep your fishing rods from getting tangled or bent using this super cheap & easy storage solution made out of a pool noodle that you may already have collecting dust at your house. (via Pinterest)
14. Mounted Hose Winder
Every time we go to get out our extension cords, we spend a good 10 minutes untangling them before they are actually usable. Not only does this garage organization solution solve for that, but it makes your extension cords look so tidy and neat! (via Instructables)
15. Pegboard Garage Organization System

16. Repurposed Ikea Magnetic Knife Holder
Pick up some of their inexpensive Ikea magnetic knife holders to organize all your garage tools! (Steer clear of the crowds and get them off Amazon here!) It is perfect for screwdrivers, drill bits, paint brushes, and all your favorite tools for easy access. 17. Dollar Store Garage Organization Ideas
You could easily spend a fortune organizing your garage, but that is certainly not in our budget! Instead, I opt to get a ton or organization bins from the Dollar Store to fill our storage shelves. She filled the entire shelves pictured in this post for just $10! (via Simply Kierste)

19. Color Code Your Circuit Breaker Box
Last but not least on our list of garage organization ideas is this super smart idea to color code your circuit breaker box. This especially appeals to me after doing some switching out of light fixtures this weekend and having no idea which circuit was for which area of the house.
