You know those wardrobe pieces that you get a TON of wear out of and are heartbroken if something happens to them? Here are 5 essentials from my closet. Scroll to the bottom for links to all my picks in one place.
1. BP Trolley Booties
These are my favorite booties because they are super comfortable and less than $100 dollars!
They do run quite small though so make sure you buy a half size larger than you typically do. I have small ankles, so I have returned countless pairs because I look like a little kid playing dress up. So, I LOVE that these look slender enough to wear with a dress. My favorite colors are Cognac and Black.
They are truly a wardrobe staple for Fall that you can wear so many ways! Pair with skinny jeans or a dress. Check out some ideas on how to style from one of my favorite fashion blogs (Extra Petite) below:
2. Zella Live In Leggings
These are my ride or die basic black leggings that I wear all the time! I’m actually wearing them as I write this. They are by the workout brand, Zella (love!) but don’t let that stop you – I use them for everyday casual wear.
They have this amazing ability to sculpt your legs to look so slim and sexy. Yes please!
Also, they are super soft, not at all see through and won’t slide down so you don’t need to worry about any wardrobe malfunctions during your next downward dog.
I actually left them at a hotel room once (see I even have to take them with me when I travel) and I was heartbroken. So, I immediately had to order a replacement pair.
I wear them with tunics and boots on repeat during Fall. Pick up a pair and you will see how they got the name because you won’t want to take them off! Ever.
They are only $52 and, a little tip, they usually go on sale during the annual Nordstrom Anniversary sale, so stock up on extra pairs then!
Ah! I just saw they now come in a high-waisted version too – I think I need to check those out. Love a good high-waisted legging with a crop top!
3. Free People Long Beach tanks
I own these in more colors than I care to admit, and you can too because they are only $20!
They are the perfect basic to throw on when you are out running errands or heading to lunch with a girlfriend.
The olive and black are my go-to colors that I wear over and over.
I love the Long Beach tank’s high neck style that flares out at the bottom. It is super flattering and looks perfect with a top knot or messy bun.
Pair it with a cute necklace, a lace bralette (see below), and some distressed denim and you’ll look adorable and laid back.
4. Lace bralettes
What did we do before lace bralettes? Even the word underwire makes me cringe now. If you have not already, you have to embrace the lace.
Lace bralettes made small boobs sexy again and totally revolutionized the basic tee fashion game.
There are lace bralettes for even the toughest undergarment situations from halter to racerback and even high neck tanks.
They add the perfect feminine boho touch to any outfit. See below for a variety of picks at various price tags.
Not sure where to start? I would recommend trying a lace halter and/or racerback version as well as a fun strappy back version.
Also, there is a new brand called Frankie Phoenix that I plan on testing out since they have some really cute styles and wide variety of colors at affordable prices.
5. Articles of Society jeans
Articles of Society is an LA based denim brand that is really killing it right now with their amazing styles for a a fraction of the price. Check out more of their styles @articlesofsociety.
I fell in love with these when I was on a hunt for white skinny jeans. I tried on dozens of pairs and fell for the Articles of Society ‘Sarah’ pair that were half the price of other designer jeans I was trying on – SOLD!
Since then, I bought a couple other pairs of this brand including pairs on sale at Nordstrom Rack for like $30! They are an unbelievable deal because they are super soft and stretchy and are so comfy.
They are my favorite skinny jeans by far, and with a price tag like that, you can’t say no!
I can’t wait to hear what you think of these wardrobe essentials – I hope you love these pieces as much as I do!
