If you need some farmhouse decor inspiration between Fixer Upper episodes, I have found some incredible blogs that have been super helpful! When we moved into our house recently, it was a little overwhelming staring at all the blank walls and space. We had moved from a tiny one bedroom apartment in Los Angeles, so did not have nearly enough furniture or decor to fill our new home.
I would watch Fixer Upper shows and love all the different pieces Joanna used to decorate, but there was not an easy way to implement them in my own home. Then, I stumbled upon these blogs and they have provided me major farmhouse decor inspiration!
What I love about these blogs is that they provide links to directly buy the products they use or they provide great DIY farmhouse decor project tutorials. This is so perfect if you are like me and are a new homeowner trying to outfit a new house on a budget or even if you are just trying to add a little refresh to your home.
Here are my favorites for farmhouse decor inspiration (in no particular order):
Love Grows Wild
I feel like I hit the jackpot when I discovered Love Grows Wild! Liz runs this blog, which has taken off, and rightfully so. She even published a book recently for some of her farmhouse decor tutorials. Liz lives with her husband and kids in a real farmhouse – not just decorated like one. She does the most beautiful, understated farmhouse decor photographed in gorgeous natural light, and she often even makes pieces that she features!
Another thing I adore about this blog and lands it a solid spot in my favorites is that Liz publishes a summary of all the products she used in a room with links in a list at the bottom of her posts. She makes it so easy to go out and get farmhouse decor pieces that you see and love. And believe me, there will be many! Check out some of her amazing room tours and farmhouse decor tutorials here:
Liz Marie Blog
Liz Marie lives in this great 1800s farmhouse that she is renovating and decorated all herself. I was just reading in one of her posts that it actually was set up to function as a bed and breakfast, which is so funny because I was literally making notes that it had a B&B or cottage farmhouse feel.
Her blog is farmhouse decor galore. I swear there is something in every photo that you are dying to have. Liz Marie does a great job of mixing antique pieces with ones you can easily find wherever you are at Target, Ikea, etc. She does these great roundup posts where she highlights the best farmhouse finds in a certain store like the first link below. Liz Marie’s Blog is an absolute must to check out for farmhouse decor inspiration:
City Farmhouse
Every room in Jennifer’s house looks straight out of a magazine! I cannot get enough! What I love about City Farmhouse is that it is not all your typical farmhouse decor. It is like West Elm meets farmhouse. It has coastal and modern elements that Jennifer weaves so beautifully together in these cohesive masterpieces of rooms. I could rave all day about it.
Jennifer also is very supportive of other home decor bloggers and often promotes their work, which is how I discovered even more great blogs. I think that says a lot about her! I can’t go on her page without pinning at least one photo – guaranteed instant farmhouse decor inspiration.

Little Red Brick House
Sarah of Little Red Brick House has this classic, understated aesthetic that I absolutely adore! She is a newer blogger and I feel like I am drawn to her projects because they are more accessible and affordable. I have been following along as she has been redoing her house one room at a time, and the results are absolutely incredible! I find her so inspiring.
You must check out her farmhouse dining room makeover (pic above and link below) – she totally nailed it! Home decor pun intended 😉 . I can’t wait to see what she does next. This blog is an up-and-coming farmhouse decor site that I have a feeling is going to explode as more people find out about it!
Cherished Bliss
Ashley with Cherished Bliss is an amazing DIYer of farmhouse decor. I especially love her woodworking projects (links below)! Often, Ashley’s projects are inspired by making a popular, expensive piece for less. Like the rolling DIY bookshelf linked below. I love these types of posts because, as a new homeowner, stores like Restoration Hardware are simply out of my budget but I adore the look of many of their pieces. She will have you ready to break out the jigsaw in no time!

Craftberry Bush
This is a newer find for me, and I love it! Lucy is so creative and has the best DIY farmhouse decor projects that feel very accessible to the average person who can’t just whip up a farmhouse table in their spare time (e.g. me!). I absolutely love her aesthetic that has a lot of neutrals with really unique accents. She really has a great eye for accessories and the little details that I think truly make the space. Plus, I cannot get enough of her dog!
A House and a Dog
Speaking of dogs, next on our list of go-to blogs for farmhouse decor inspiration is A House and a Dog. I love the clean design of this blog, and Allison makes it super easy to find products that you like from her designs and buy them for your own home! She will often even put together inspiration posts for rooms that are super helpful. I actually went ahead and bought a lamp that I found as I was browsing. Check out some of her posts:
A Burst of Beautiful
This has to be one of my favorite new finds for farmhouse decor and DIY projects! I adore everything that Alicia & Nick do (how adorable that they do it as a couple!). Their projects seem very accessible and not intimidating. I can’t wait to try one, but it is going to be so hard to choose!
I think a lot of why I love this blog is that Alicia & Nick seem very relatable and are just a step ahead of us in our stage in life so I love seeing what they have done. She describes their design style as “simple, fresh and timeless” and that is absolutely what it is!
I hope you enjoyed this list and are inspired to go outfit your house with some new farmhouse decor pieces – I know I am!
